How To: Ask Your Girls To Be Your Maids

So the big question has been popped and the echo of your resounding ‘YES!’ has finally quit bouncing off the walls. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh! Excitements! You’re engaged!

But now that the champagne has been guzzled and the nuptials announced on every social media platform going, it’s time to ask YOUR big question: will your besties be by your side to hold your hand/dab your mascara/dance the night away after the deed is done?

Gone are the days when you just called up your buddies and asked, “Hey, wanna be my bridesmaid?” BORING! These days the (seemingly) simple question of how to ask your friends to be part of your wedding party now often involves almost as much brainpower as the proposal itself! Brainpower aside though, coming up with fun bridesmaid proposal ideas can be heaps of fun, and can be tailored to suit your style – and your friends – to a capital T.

So don’t hold back! Show your bridesmaids just how much they mean to you! To help you out here are some creative ideas to get your inspiration gears turning.

  1. Bridesmaid Proposal Cards

Tried and tested, bridesmaid proposal cards are still the most popular way to get your question out there and into the hot little hands of your maids-to-be. But that doesn’t mean they have to be boring. Opt for a scratchie-style card with a personalised message for each maid revealed post-scratch, or a design that includes happy snaps of the two of you together at a super fun event. Or go the extra mile and have your cards professionally illustrated with you and your maids in your obligatory getting-ready-robes! That one will be straight to the fridge door!

  1. Woo Your Maids With Drink

You know your besties best, and if you think they will appreciate the big question pre-empted by a cheeky wine, whiskey, beer, coffee, or citrus & green tea detox smoothie, then wet your whistle with these proposal drink vessel ideas. Whether you get all your maids-to-be over for a few or meet up with them individually, this is possibly the funnest way to pop the question!

  1. Woo Your Maids With Food

If you consider yourself a bit of a foodie, then feast your eyes on these bridesmaid proposal goodies. Whether delivered amongst a box of treats, or as a stand-alone question raiser (“I donut want to get married without you” awwwwwwwwww), your maids will be reduced to responding in nods as their mouths will be otherwise occupied.

  1. Say It With Bling

You’ve got yourself a fab new ring to flaunt, so why not give your maids a similar treat and favour them with a bit o’ bling? From personalised earring boxes, to lockets with secret messages inside, there are so many options for bridesmaid proposal jewellery out there that you’re sure to find the perfect style for your girls. And the bonus is that your maids will be able to wear the bling on the big day! One less thing to plan!

  1. Pull Out The Bridal Survival Kit

If you can’t decide on a single proposal deal-sweetener for your potential ladies-in-waiting, why not pack a whole crate full of goodies? The contents of your personalised bridal survival kits are only limited by your imagination, so go wild! Drinks, chocolates, flowers, beauty products, photo frames, hand-typed letters gushing with poetry – whatever you think they will love, and love you for giving!

So many great ways to propose to your girls! Which one will you choose?
